Recently, SSIRLive! featured The Hidden Financial Lives of America's Poor and Middle Class, a 2-part webinar with blog series, highlighting research based on the US Financial Diaries. The research illustrates how current programs and policies for helping poor and middle class households achieve financial stability are based on an outdated understanding of the reality of their financial practices. The goal of this series is to help innovators and funders develop a clearer perspective of the financial lives of poor and middle class households in order to tailor products, programs and policies to better address their needs.
We had many excellent questions during the live sessions that we weren't able to answer, but we did respond to many of them here - (Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3).
